State Treasurer Clint Zweifel says Missourians can take advantage of free college savings money starting Mar. 1
JEFFERSON CITY – Starting March 1, college savers throughout Missouri might be eligible for up to $500 a year in free college savings money from MOST–Missouri's 529 College Savings Plan. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) said, for the first time ever, the direct-sold MOST 529 Plan will begin providing a dollar-for-dollar match on contributions up to $500 per year and $2,500 over a lifetime to the MOST 529 accounts of qualifying applicants.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) issued a statement today following the Missouri Housing Development Commission’s approval of 155 units of housing to target homelessness across Missouri. The commission has now approved 356 units of specialized housing focused on individuals suffering from a mental illness, persons dealing with physical, mental or emotional impairment, people with a developmental disability, persons currently homeless, veterans and youth aging out of foster care since the Treasurer began pushing the issue in 2010.

IBERIA, Mo. – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced today he has awarded three low-interest Missouri Linked Deposit Program loans to a Miller County business and two family farms. The loans were awarded to Captured Moments Photography in St. Elizabeth, Mo.; Jeff Jarrett, a farmer from Iberia; and Ian and Megan Murray farmers from Brumley, Mo.
“Lost” WWI medals find home – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel says they belong with family
FESTUS, Mo. – Nearly 100 years after being awarded, two World War I military medals have found their way to the family of the soldier who earned them. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) was in Festus, Mo., today to return a Distinguished Service Cross and Croix de Guerre – the French Cross of War – to Margaret Means. Means is a relative of Maj. Ernest W. Slusher, who earned the medals. Treasurer Zweifel stood with Means and members of the Louisiana Purchase Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at the Festus Public Library to return the medals.
Jackpot! St. Louis area woman gets $700,000, another gets $110,000 from State Treasurer Clint Zweifel
ST. LOUIS – Two St. Louis area women hit the Unclaimed Property jackpot – one getting $700,000 and the other finding $110,000. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced the returns today, and that the $700,000 return is the second return over $500,000 to an individual this fiscal year. What is thought to be the single largest return to a business or individual in the nation’s history took place in November when $6.1 million was returned to a Kansas City area woman. The recipients’ names are not being released for privacy reasons.
