Missouri State Treasurer’s Office receives prestigious award for website redesign

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Missouri State Treasurer’s Office website, treasurer.mo.gov, was recognized this week for excellence in web design by the Horizon Interactive Awards, a leading international interactive media awards competition. The website was awarded with a Silver Award Winner status for the category of Government Agency - Website.

The award-winning redesign of treasurer.mo.gov was launched in the fall of 2017 and included a number of improvements to user design including streamlined navigation menus, simplified sign up processes and an improved search of Missouri's Unclaimed Property database.

This year’s Horizon Interactive Awards competition saw over 1,000 entries from around the world including 36 out of 50 states and 16 other countries including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

State Treasurer Eric Schmitt has made a concerted effort since taking office in January of 2017 to push the envelope on government innovation by modernizing office programs and creating new tools for citizen accessibility such as the Missouri Economic Dashboard.
