State Treasurer Vivek Malek appoints Clayton Campbell as Deputy State Treasurer and Tom Deuschle as Senior Advisor

Jefferson City, MO – Missouri
State Treasurer Vivek Malek is pleased to announce the appointment of Clayton
Campbell as Deputy Treasurer. “I am grateful for
his willingness to serve in this important governmental capacity,” said Malek.
“I look forward to working with Clayton as we work to protect taxpayers’ money
through the pursuit of safe and prudent investment strategies and to promote
opportunities for growth through the various programs administered by the
Treasurer’s Office.” Prior to joining
the State Treasurer’s Office, Campbell worked in the private practice of law
where he advised clients on a wide variety of business, transactional, and
financial matters. He has also served on
the staff of United States Senator Josh Hawley where he managed district office
operations for twenty-eight counties in southwest Missouri. Campbell earned his law degree from the
University of Missouri in Columbia and his undergraduate degree from Evangel
University in Springfield. “I am honored and
grateful to serve Missourians alongside Treasurer Malek and the talented staff
in the State Treasurer’s Office,” said Campbell. “I look forward to serving as a member of the
team.” Campbell resides
in Columbia with his wife, Julianna, and their three children. In addition to
Campbell, Tom Deuschle has joined the State Treasurer’s Office as Senior
Advisor. For more than thirty years,
Deuschle has been involved in workforce development programming at the state
and federal government levels, as well as in the private sector. He served under Governor John Ashcroft in the
Governor’s Office and later as Director of Employment Security; and under
Governor Matt Blunt as Director of Labor and Industrial Relations and later as
Deputy Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office.
His workforce development activities have been primarily associated with
the federal Job Corps training program.
During the Trump Administration, Deuschle served as a Deputy Assistant
Secretary, Employment and Training Administration, U.S. Department of Labor. xxxxxxxxx
