JEFFERSON CITY, MO — The Missouri State Treasurer’s Office is committed to strengthening financial education by providing Missourians with free, accessible tools through the Treasurer’s Financial Literacy Portal. This one stop resource is designed to help individuals and families build the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to make sound financial decisions throughout every stage of life.

“Financial literacy is one of the most powerful ways we can help Missourians take control of their financial futures. When people understand how money works, they gain the confidence and independence needed to make informed choices,” Treasurer Vivek Malek said.

The Financial Literacy Portal offers a wide range of educational tools focused on real life financial topics, including budgeting, saving, managing credit, paying for education, handling debt, and preparing for retirement. The portal also features interactive learning modules, practical checklists, planning guides, and age appropriate resources for students, families, and seniors. These tools are designed to meet Missourians where they are—whether they are taking their first steps toward financial understanding or planning long term financial goals.

“Financial literacy isn’t just about numbers; it’s about opportunity,” Treasurer Malek said. “From saving for a child’s future education to preparing for retirement, the Financial Literacy Portal offers Missourians reliable information to help them make decisions that support lifelong well being.”

The Treasurer’s Office continues to engage with community groups, educators, schools, and organizations across the state to promote financial education and encourage responsible financial habits. These outreach efforts underscore the Treasurer’s commitment to ensuring every Missourian has access to the tools they need to build a secure financial future.

Missourians can explore financial wellness resources and begin their learning journey by visiting the Treasurer’s Financial Literacy Portal at Treasurer.mo.gov/financial literacy.
