JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.  — On Friday, April 25, Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek will participate in two public events focused on promoting financial literacy and increasing awareness of the MO ABLE program.


Event 1: Financial Literacy Press Conference 


Treasurer Malek will join State Representative Ed Lewis outside Moberly High School to discuss legislative efforts to improve financial education for Missourians.

Event 2: MO ABLE Awareness Tour – Hannibal 


Later that afternoon, Treasurer Malek will visit Marion County Services for the Developmentally Disabled to promote the MO ABLE program, which helps individuals with disabilities save for the future without losing access to public benefits. In celebration of National ABLE to Save Month, new account holders in April are eligible for a $25 match. More information can be found at MOABLE.COM or by calling 800-439-1653.
